Enoploteuthis obliqua

Introduction
Enoploteuthis obliqua, a relatively small-sized species for the genus, attains 70mm DML. It is endemic to the tropical East Pacific. The oblique striped photophore arrangement on the ventral mantle is characteristic.
Characteristics
- Tentacle
- Tentacle short, narrow.
- Carpal cluster elongate.
- Two rows of subequal-sized hooks on manus.

- Integumental Photophores
- Ventral mantle with six weakly radiated stripes of integumental organs.
- Ventral head with relatively scattered integumental organs.

This species is endemic to the tropical East Pacific (Okutani, 1974; Burgess, 1982; Alexeyev, 1994).References
