Introduction

Small, orange butterflies superficially similar in appearance to Lasippa spp. The genus ranges from India to Australia.

Scientific Name Pantoporia hordonia
Location Kadavoor, Kerala, India
Comments Common Lascar (Pantoporia hordonia) Syn: Neptis hordonia ? A common butterfly of thick jungles of low elevations with dark brown wings having orange markings. The orange streak on the fore wing cell broad and cut twice anteriorly. Apex and posterior side of the upper surface of the forewing with an orange band each. Upper surface of hind wing with two orange bands, the one on the top broad and that in the lower area narrow. Under surface of wings are finely streaked.
