Fountainea nessus described in Nymphalis

Characteristics
Sexually dimorphic adults. Males have an iridescent pink and purple patch in the middle of the dorsal forewing (see photo), while females exhibit a cream-colored transverse forewing band. Ventral wing surfaces of both sexes are cryptic and leaf-like.
